Parent FAQs

Does each child need their own email address?

No. ChoreHero is built around parent-managed household access. Depending on your setup, children may use dedicated child login paths, quick-login links, or trusted-device flows instead of separate email accounts.

Can I require parent approval before a chore is complete?

Yes. ChoreHero supports parent-managed review and approval flows for chores that should not count automatically.

Can chores repeat?

Yes. ChoreHero is designed around recurring household routines, not just one-time checklists.

Can I offer rewards?

Yes. Rewards are part of the core household workflow. Parents decide what is available and when a child can redeem it.

Do proof uploads require a paid plan?

Some proof flows are plan-dependent.

  • image proof uploads are available on paid plans with an eligible subscription state
  • video proof uploads are more restricted and require higher-tier access

If proof suddenly disappears, check both your current plan state and any recent subscription changes.

What if a child cannot get back into their dashboard?

Start with Account, login, and onboarding and then use Troubleshooting if the issue persists.

Where do billing and subscription settings live?

Parents should start in Parent Dashboard > Settings > Account. That is the main place to look for plan and account-level controls.

Can I use integrations like Alexa or weather automations?

Optional integrations are available only when the household has the right feature access and configuration. If integrations are missing, confirm both your plan eligibility and the household settings for that feature set.

Do plan changes affect child access or features immediately?

They can. Features such as proof uploads, quick login, device approvals, AI access, and integrations may change when plan status changes.

Where should I look first when something feels off?

Use this order:

  1. Troubleshooting
  2. Billing and subscriptions if the issue started after a plan change
  3. Contact and support if you need a support handoff path
